Subsurface Team Leader : NZ, New plymouth in New Plymouth, Taranaki
The company is a prominent Operating company with significant onshore and offshore assets in the Asia Pacific region. A focus is to improve ongoing operating performance, as well as accelerating infill drilling, unlocking additional infrastructure:led exploration opportunities and executing major projects.
The Subsurface team is an integrated asset:based team of Geophysicists, Geologists, Petrophysicists and Reservoir Engineers working together in small delivery teams focused on development opportunities.
The Subsurface Team Leader will manage the activities of the team over a significant period of planning, justification and development of business opportunities. The Manager will also be closely involved in one of the key pieces of discipline work for the study and is likely to carry out significant technical work.
Their primary responsibility will be ensuring that appropriate reservoir studies are properly planned, executed and assured in order to development opportunities across assigned reservoirs. In addition, initiating and managing projects, for justifying well interventions where they are required and preparing and presenting to the leadership groups. You will also act as the Technical Representative for the relevant Operated Fields, optionally taking delegation of the Operating Committee Representative and other duties from the Managing Director as agreed.
You must have the following skills:
* Degree qualification in a relevant subsurface discipline (eg: Geology or Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering).
* Experience of development within Asia Pacific subsurface environments.
* Multi:disciplinary team leadership experience.
